This is pretty cool. Has a good playful atmosphere, and the robot animation is quite cute- I kinda wish the music wasn't so repetitive though!

Update: Thanks for your help! I've just seen that 'R' increases the resolution too. It's an enjoyable and atmospheric game. Been having some problems with the complex controls and the tutorial isn't too helpful (I stop the horse the F and it only tells me to press E after I've pressed it already and moved slightly right). It also randomly exited the game the last three times I played which is a bigger issue.
Hello. Try to click on the grey space around the gameview. and the browser will focus the game window.
Thats how my friends fix that problem. =)
Fun little game! I got stuck in Boise the longest...
This is awesome. Definitely going to come back to this. I love the presentation and Super Mario Maker- style spoken 'die' music, which I did. A lot. Would be nice to have a bit more to do- although maybe there is and I just haven't got there yet. The mixtures of cute, humorous and creepy is really good!
Awh man, thanks a lot!! Told the musician about the comment. He is great!
Thanks a lot for playing, man! <3
I won with a score of 10 and -47 lives! Definitely very bare bones at the moment, but the graphics/ animations are nice and this has potential. Zoomed in perspective puts me in mind of a Sega Game Gear. Hope your girlfriend likes it!
Like I said, it isn't even close to done. But I am having fun make it. Thank you for the feedback, not sure how -47 got in the lives (Thank you so much), I will look at the code. I grew up with a sega, so I wanted it to have a fun look to it, something that a non gamer would play.
Thank you again for playing means a lot to me! She loves it!
This is a fun little game and a cool concept. Really feels like it's missing some background music though. A level number (or even high score table) would be cool, so I could tell you at what point my brain decided to go on strike- 15 pieces on the board currently, and it's saying "no more"!
If you did the art and music yourself, that's immensely impressive. I would bet a tenner that you didn't, though, so please either give credit to whoever did or come to me for your tenner.
It looks fantastic and the movement's good but there are so many small details that spoil the fun and make this a frustrating experience:
-I saw in your comments that the arrow keys worked, but not before I attempted the game's recommended control scheme of AD and Q. Hands do not work like that!
-It's not satisfying to have enemies who die a second or two after they're hit.
-Blind jumps should always be avoided unless you give some hints (like coins sometimes do in a Mario game),
-Making the player use the mouse to skip dialogue in an otherwise keyboard-only game is annoying.
It feels like you could put out a much better game if you just gave yourself a bit of thinking time to pay attention to the small details.
I appreciate the feedback. The art is mostly license-free assets found on the internet, but the music is created by me. Thanks, I will look into making those improvements as suggested.
Argh- I got eaten by a duck! This is a lot less terrible than I thought it would be. Definitely one I'll have another go at beating...
Is this basically 'Arbitrary Numbers: The Game'? I definitely died clicking by a few zeros. Although I am the current world champion so... go me XD
