I thought this was quite funky. Simple concept but enough variety for it to work- the vector graphics worked well. A full screen mode would be good- had some issues with the mouse leaving the screen or not dragging easily at times.

The description really made me want to play this- but it's not loading for me on Firefox or IE. Please let me know if you find a way round this (or if it's just my computer that's the problem).

Feels like this has a lot of potential without quite being there yet:

The gameplay's quite fun, and I think I'd enjoy playing it with a friend, except for a couple of things. Like- if the cars leave the screen, you can't see either of them and it's pretty much game over (the old game Micro Machines has the best way of solving this problem)

Also, adding sound, a main menu and spending more time on the graphics would go a long, long way to improving this.

Thanks for the feedback

This is a very philosophical game. This teaches you that, however good or bad you are at something, factors beyond your control play a significant part in whether you are rewarded or punished, and that you should never congratulate yourself too much for success, or berate yourself too harshly for failure...

... or maybe the dev just hates people, I don't know.

Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Quite fun as far as American football games go, and little aspects like kicking at goal were a nice touch. Being knocked out by the goal wasn't fun though, and being knocked out by the goal while I was *invincible*, even less so.

Praise the Wood Mother! The writing style is just right for this kind of game- economical and atmospheric in a low-key way. There's not much I can say that hasn't already been commented on- the choices felt like I was being shunted through the story rather than being allowed to do my own thing and no-one much liked the music restarted for every choice, and I'm no exception, as this got very jarring.

I enjoyed it, but there's defnitely a lot you can improve on.

lol, this baffled me, but made me laugh and I found all the zebras so... well done. Only problem is, I don't know if I've completed it. Have I missed something? Also, is the music 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight?'

ZebraHumor responds:

If you got the 5 sitters, you reached the end of the game.

The music is actually The Baby-Sitters Club tv show theme but in 8-bit.

I played til they finally liked my song! The story is entertaining and funny in places (and yes, I chose the I want women option!), but this has some big issues- first thing is that the resolution is too large for my laptop screen (although the bottom is all empty space). Second, this needs thorough proofreading. The opening page has "it's great mines and their wise merchants"- there shouldn't be an apostrophe in 'its' when it's a possessive and 'their' feels like it's being falsely used as a synonym for 'its'. Also, "It's night time... cheer poured out the windowns". Aside from the clear typo, you're switching tenses (present to past) in the same paragraph, and this happens a lot.
Even just putting this through MS Word spellcheck will get rid of most of the typos, but taking a couple of hours to sit down and go over your story will definitely pay off for future projects.

Xuvero responds:

Thanks for the analysis, I really apreciate it.

I'm still trying to find a solution for the resolution problem: I left it quite large as to avoid getting some text to be left out of the embeded area in some passages, but I do want one that would fit on the screen.

And yes, I definitely should have done a better proofreading, and I plan on correcting this mistakes when I manage to spare some time. The MS Word thing is something that I really should have done, but I didn't think of it at the time, it was a mistake. Instead I checked it all manually, by myself, and as a result a lot of mistakes slipped through the cracks. I'm also looking for a more effective method of proofreading to use in the future.

Wow, I made it into 6th for today- probably helps that I'm English- are these all British idioms? Hard for me to tell. Anyway, the game does what it does well, but it's very unambitious. More questions/ categories would be nice.

This is the most addictive platformer/ shooter I've played in ages! The sections were just challenging enough to make me want to keep going after deaths (of course, this was on 'Baby'- normal difficulty was way beyond me). Sound and graphics are great too. More please...

Gypopothomas responds:

Thanks a lot!
